This group of Manchester based Independent Hospitals and specialist Care Homes. They currently have two opportunities for an accomplished Mental Health Nurse at one of its Care Homes and Hospitals as a Clinical Nurse Manager, which will offer a long term rotation within the group.
Its specialist care home provides care to individuals from 18 - 65 that suffer with dementia, with a particular focus on young on-set dementia.
Its hospital provides care to adults 18+ with severe and enduring mental health who are subject to the mental health act. The successful individual will take on the following responsibilities:
- reporting to the General Manager you will form part of the management structure providing clinical leadership to the nursing team whilst taking a lead role in maintaining quality standards and in practice development
- head a team of nurses and support workers, working closely with all members of the team in the development, implementation and evaluation of practice development initiatives whilst establishing and promoting a positive learning environment for all staff
- act as a source of clinical expertise and enhance nursing practice
- ensure that all the requirements of the mental health act and national standards legislation is met
- participate in the recruitment, selection and induction of staff as required in addition to thorough induction programme for all new starters
The person: In addition to being suitably qualified (RMN / RNMH), you will possess a broad nursing and medical knowledge. You will have clear leadership abilities. You will remain calm under pressure and have strong communication skills. You will be a forward thinking and adaptable individual with a the drive and determination to make a difference and bring ideas to the table.
